Website audit · Reliability
What a website audit should actually tell you
A website audit is useful only if it helps you make decisions. A long report full of technical warnings is not enough. The real output should be a short list of problems, their business impact, and the order in which they are worth fixing.
Start with what can affect customers
The first questions are simple: Is the site available? Is it fast enough? Does it work properly on mobile? Are important forms, checkout steps, or contact flows reliable?
If a problem can prevent a visitor from contacting you, buying, booking, or understanding your offer, it belongs near the top of the list.
Look beyond visual design
A site can look modern and still have technical problems underneath. An audit should check areas such as performance, HTTPS and security basics, broken links, error handling, backups, deployment setup, and whether somebody would notice if the website stopped working.
Technical SEO also matters here. Search engines need a site that is crawlable, reasonably fast, structured clearly, and free from avoidable technical errors.
Separate urgent problems from improvements
Not every issue deserves immediate work. I prefer to divide findings into three groups: risks that should be fixed now, improvements that are likely to produce value, and optional refinements that can wait.
This prevents a business from spending money on small technical details while larger problems remain unresolved.
The audit should end with a plan
A useful audit should leave you knowing what to do next. That may mean fixing a few specific issues, rebuilding part of the site, improving hosting and monitoring, or deciding that the current setup is already good enough.
The goal is not to find as many problems as possible. It is to reduce uncertainty and give you a practical order of work.
Not sure what is worth fixing first?
I offer a Technical Website Audit — €250.
I review performance, reliability, basic security, technical SEO and the current setup, then provide a prioritized improvement plan.
